In 9 months review of the present Liberal government, it is found that Justin Trudeau has been the least productive in the past 2 decades. For instance, Conservatives during their stint in 2011 passed bills in the House of Commons passed 18 bills while the present administration could only muster 10.
The opposition was up in arms against Justin as the prime minister had claimed before elections that liberal party was different from conservatives. With nothing to show, Mr. Trudeau has to work hard to show that he means business. Speaking to the media, Erin O’Tool the conservative MP was blistering while attacking the liberals on their performance.
Justin had devised a foolproof strategy to achieve the objective of the country on climate change and the health reforms. 9 months have elapsed but people have not noticed the prime minister talking about those issues. Were they only political stunts to win the elections, only time could tell? Meanwhile, the prime minister is gathering bad publicity at an alarming rate.
The biggest issue is that his honeymoon with voters is over and now has to full fill the promises that were made during elections. Some of the heavy duty decisions regarding Canada post home delivery spending have been put off. People are framing a very negative perception of the current PM as he seems to be too obsessed with media Moreover; he is not spending enough time to deal with the hot issues regarding the economy, military, and migration.
Even the liberal government of 1994, headed by Jean Chrétien was far more active in passing 34 bills in the first 9 months of coming to power. Liberals initiated the Canada child benefit and Pension plan but they are still in the process of negotiation and it will take some time when they see the light of the day.
