After eight years of political struggle featuring numerous ups and downs, rough patches and highs, American President Barack Obama’s term is finally coming to an end. Tributes from around the world are pouring in. The celebrities and the liberal media are saying teary-eyed goodbyes to their beloved President.
And while it’s true that Obama may have made some followers due to his oratory skills and media appearances, he has very little substance to show at the end of eight long years in office. So, as Obama’s term approaches an end, we’ll look at some of the President’s biggest failures.
The one thing President Obama wanted more than anything to be the crowning jewel of his Presidency was Obamacare. And he tried harder than ever to get it passed despite massive opposition in the Congress. Fast forward to 2017, America has elected someone who has promised to repeal Obamacare on his first day in office. It’s clear where the American public stands in this election.
History will look back on Syria as one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises of this decade. The spread of ISIS terrorized not just Syria, but the whole world. The civil war killed and displaced millions of people. And the refugees created a crisis in Europe the likes of which it has never seen before. Plus, Russia is stronger than ever before. All of this could have been prevented if Obama had decided to take the lead in the Middle East.
One of the biggest reasons why America resoundingly rejected the Democratic Party is that it was under this party that America experienced one of the worst economic periods in recent history. It lost jobs left, right and centre while America’s external debt is about to cross the $20 trillion mark.
