The daughter of Frank ‘Blue Eyes’ Sinatra has some harsh words for the Cable News Network after it published an article on its website saying that Nancy Sinatra was not happy with Trump using a famous song sung by her father “my way” during the inauguration. As you all know, the song was used by the Trump campaign team to celebrate his historic win. During the inauguration, the song that was sung by the immortal Frank Sinatra was to be played while the newly elected President Trump and the first lady Melania were to dance at the Liberty Ball.
CNN reportedly quoted a tweet by Nancy Sinatra which read, “Remember the first line of the song.” While the tweet was quickly deleted, Nancy Sinatra was not happy about the CNN article at all, which gave a spin on the story.
Sinatra vented her anger towards CNN in a tweet which read, “That’s not true, I never said that. Why do you lie, CNN?” While Sinatra didn’t deny tweeting the comment earlier about the song’s first line, her main issue was with CNN’s spin on the tweet, which was meant to be a joke. For those of you who are not familiar with the song, the first line of My Way, begins with, “And now, the end is near.”
Sinatra later on tweeted that it was a rotten spin by CNN on what was a harmless joke. This is just another example of the ‘fake news’ that CNN and other pro-Democrat news channels have been accused of by President Trump and his administration. In a reply to a comment on Twitter, Sinatra did say that she wished the new President the best, since a good president could help the entire world. She also added that she didn’t thing anyone would want to be a bad president.
