Liberals aren’t Interested in Policy Progress and Only Want Power

Justin Trudeau’s promised death knell for left-wing voters came to pass in the federal by-elections recently held in Canada. Trudeau had gone on record in 2015 about the difference between activist groups and political parties when it came to not validating the Fair Vote Canada slogan. He used the support to his advantage and ensured that all groups backed the liberals, who would bring about change in Canadian politics.

However, once he won the election, the entire tone of the liberals changed, and Fair Vote Canada didn’t back anything that it would do. This is the reason why it was labeled as an ‘anti-liberal group’, with board members like Bob Rae, Marie Bountrogianni, and Lloyd Axworthy considered not being a part of the group. The liberal’s it seems don’t want to play fair, and have openly declared war on anyone that even dares to challenge their broken promises figures.

The Liberals are looking to denounce their own party agendas if it means that they get more power. They discarded as the promises they made about reconciliation with indigenous people, and have also pushed through with projects that pose a great risk to the environment without proper consent or assessment.

They have also discarded tax fairness and conveniently ignored their promise to boost health funding. The worst thing is that they have abandoned all commitment towards accountability, and even taken steps to enhance unfettered surveillance, instead of providing accountability or setting limits. Their concrete promise of legalizing marijuana has still not been passed, and it seems that they have returned to their old habits of being progressive with the security that they have a majority government.

The Liberals are well within their rights to exploit every advantage they can with the power at their disposal, but Trudeau has gravely let down the people of Canada with his stance of pro-anything is immediately anti-liberal.
