Justin Trudeau’s office announced he will be attending the Calgary stampede after all on July 15.
Thousands of Canadians said on social media he’s not welcome in Alberta for the stampede.

Spokesperson Cameron Ahmad said Trudeau will come to Alberta after attending the National Governors Association conference in Rhode Island.
“He is looking forward to celebrating Stampede alongside Albertans, as he has done for years,” Ahmad wrote in an email to Global News.
The PMO has yet to confirm his full schedule, but Global News understands Trudeau will attend a Stampede breakfast Saturday, before attending the rodeo in the afternoon.
The news comes after previous reports Trudeau’s schedule was too packed to accommodate a trip out west.
Many felt it was a way to avoid the controversy of the prime minister’s Canada Day mistake of leaving out Alberta in his speech on Parliament Hill.
