Montreal is to receive 5 brand new metro stations from infrastructure funding from the liberal government, everything is set to go, all that’s left for Montreal is to receive the funds.
Phase 1 of the project will cost $1.2 billion, that will improve public transit, water and sewage systems for Montreal.
But that’s not all, there’s going to be a phase 2 which will cost another $5 billion or more.
The blue line extension project will connect the Blue Line to Anjou, with stations stations set up near boulevards Pie-IX, Viau, Lacordaire, Langelier, and Galeries d’Anjou.
As for the new light rail system, 24 train stations will be built in total during the first phase of the project. They will link the airport to the downtown core, the West-Island, the South Shore and Deux-Montagnes.
