Justin Trudeau warned Canadian artists who change the words in the Nationl Anthem.
Just recently a Tenors member, Remigio Pereira, altered the lyrics to O Canada prior to the Major League Baseball all-star game, but has since apologized.
“With glowing hearts we see thee rise, the True North strong and free,” to “We’re all brothers and sisters, all lives matter to the great.” He said.
Justin Trudeau was asked about it and had a strong message for artists.
“I think people, whether it’s a particularly off-the-wall rendition of it, or changing the words of it, I think artists need to be very, very careful when they try to express themselves through a piece that is so cherished and symbolically important for Canadians,” Trudeau said.
There’s a problem, Trudeau and the liberals have changed the actual words of the National Anthem with many Canadians voting against it and showing their frustration.
So is it okay for Trudeau to change the words, but no one else?
To support the LGBTQ community (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, or Questioning. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and questioning are sexual orientations. Trans is a gender identity.) the liberals have changed the words in the official National Anthem to ‘True patriot love in all thy son’s command’ – to ‘all of us command’.
Do you support Trudeau to tell Canadians to be careful? What does that mean, you might be deported? There may be a new law coming out?
