The Alberta NDP government has raised taxes on everything, including beer, beer will cost $1.25 per liter more starting on August 5 no matter where beer comes from.

Alberta buys most of their beer from BC and Saskatchewan in the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, but brewers in those provinces are not happy and threaten to take their business elsewhere, Alberta brewers will receive grants and rebates to off-set their extra taxes per liter, but BC and SASK. is not included in those grants, the rebates Alberta brewers will get is from the taxes brewers from out-of-province brewers will pay to Alberta.

 

Brewers have told Global news they will take their business elsewhere if rebates are not treated fairly, like oil, Trudeau and Notley have killed many business in Canada, it will never end.
