As Donald Trump got elected 45th President of the United States on November 8th, many celebrities said they would move out of the county to Canada, including nasty star Miley Cyrus, her bad girl attitude was shattered the morning after the election as she heard Trump won over democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
The horde of Hollywood Hillary Clinton fans who pledged to move to Canada if Donald Trump got elected are being mocked on Twitter. Scores of celebrities, such as Lena Dunham, Miley Cyrus and Bryan Cranston had all threatened to leave the United States if Trump became the next U.S. president.
Back in March when Donald Trump started receiving more attention from the media, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, the wife of Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau in-directly invited Cyrus and everyone who feared Trump to move to Canada with ‘open arms’
From a Global News interview:
Couric pointed out that following Trump’s win on Super Tuesday, online searches of “how to move to Canada” spiked in the United States.
“So you’re not going to tell me it’s because my husband was elected,” Grégoire-Trudeau said with a laugh.
“I’m here with open arms, come on over,” Grégoire-Trudeau joking said, inviting Americans to make the move.
“Grégoire-Trudeau joking said”
Did she really say it as a joke? When she made that statement did she know the nasty Cyrus was listening to her? She created a movement as a “joke” but celebrities followed through.
