There is no question when it comes to the fact that the influence of Islam and Muslims is growing in the country ever since Justin Trudeau came to power. In just the last year alone, a large number of Syrian refugees swarmed the country. This has boosted the morale of the existing Muslim community in Canada. Although they’re still a minority, they are now a strong one.

And this is reflected in the recent statements of one of the leading Muslim scholars in Canada. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips was born in Jamaica in 1947 as a Christian. He spent his life in Canada where he accepted Islam in 1972.

A Muslim Majority?

Philips believes Muslims are wrong to demand implementation of Islamic sharia law in countries where they are in a minority. But he also wants Muslims to be a majority before they demand sharia law. Doesn’t this describe the strategy of the Muslims to invade the country in large numbers and take over the law?

Why, then, are we allowing such people in the country who don’t believe in the country’s democratic and constitutional process? It’s clear that the ultimate goal of the Muslims is to implement the sharia law. And it’s even clear, now, that they’re on their way to implement the law.

Christianity Is Distorted

This is not the only controversial statement made by Philips in his Friday sermon. He also said that the two religions Christianity and Judaism are distortions of Islam. He said that Jesus was also a Muslim who was a link between the three religions.

What Philips needs, most of all, is a high school history lesson. Mohammad was born more than 500 years after the passing of Jesus. Islam came even after that. How, then, can Christianity be a distortion of Islam. Isn’t that supposed to be the other way around?
