Amid CNN’s ongoing uproar about President Donald Trump’s infamous Wrestlemania tweet, one conservative pundit has dug up footage of the network fantasizing about what would happen if disaster struck on Inauguration Day.
“DEVELOPING NOW: DISASTER COULD PUT OBAMA CABINET MEMBER IN OVAL OFFICE,” read the chyron for the piece in question.
“Due to a quirk in America’s rules for succession, questions remain about just who would be in charge if an attack hit the incoming President, Vice President and Congressional leaders just as the transfer of power is underway,” narrates a CNN reporter at the start of the clip.
The reporter goes on to discuss the process of succession should various government officials be assassinated on Inauguration Day.
“As a precaution, a cabinet secretary called the designated Presidential successor will not attend the inauguration,” he states. “But it won’t be a Trump cabinet secretary, since none of them have been confirmed yet. It will be an Obama appointee.”

In response to Josh Caplan’s (Gateway Pundit, Vessel News) sharing of that tweet, many are lashing out at CNN over its hypocrisy.
As reported yesterday, the outlet came out swinging at President Donald Trump over his Wrestlemania tweet containing a video in which he pummels a man with a CNN logo for a face.
“It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters,” the outlet stated.
Apparently, fantasizing about the incoming President being assassinated and replaced by an Obama appointee doesn’t meet CNN’s standards of lowliness.
