North Korea warns of ‘catastrophic disaster’ for USA and blasts Trump as ‘war maniac’

NORTH Korea has threatened America with “catastrophic disaster” and blamed Donald Trump for the escalating tension in the region.

Kim Jong-un’s hermit state said joint military exercises between the USA and South Korea were making the situation on the peninsula worse.

A fiery article in a Pyongyang-based propaganda newspaper accused America of “sly” tactics.

It said such policies were, in effect, preparation for a US and South Korean invasion of North Korea.

The propaganda rag, which is essentially a mouthpiece for Kim’s one-party government, said the end result was an inevitability due to the actions of their enemy “war maniacs”.

The piece said: “The south Korean puppet forces invited a US B-1B formation to stage an A-bomb dropping drill simulating a preemptive attack on the DPRK.

“Meanwhile, the war maniacs of the U.S. and south Korea dragged the Canadian navy, which had been involved in the Korean War as mercenary, into a joint naval drill in the waters around Jeju Island that started on Friday.

“This is just another serious military provocation to the DPRK and a risky move to escalate tensions on the Korean peninsula as it is the revelation of the scenario for igniting a war against DPRK.”
