The pamphlets say pooches must be limited out of respect to Muslim families – but community leaders believe it’s just ploy to incite hatred
Dog lovers have blasted a leaflet campaign purporting to be from a pro-Muslim group which calls for the banning of all pooches in public.
The pamphlets say dogs are ‘impure’ and should be ‘limited’ in ‘public spheres’ out of respect for Muslim families.
They have been received by households in Greater Manchester and are believed to be connected to a campaign group called ‘For Public Purity’.
