If someone enters a home and takes computers, phones or other devices from your home, it’s called theft, but apparently the Canadian government is allowed to enter homes and steal legally.
This specific policy targets farm owners who employee foreign workers, basically they can come unannounced, enter homes and confiscate electronic devices that may contain hard drives or cloud storage.

Most Farmers are unaware of this as they voluntarily sign up when they bring in a foreign student to work on their farm.
