The niqab or burka has been banned in Denmark, the ban targets criminals hiding in plain site.

The law was set in motion Thursday as lawmakers voted in favour of banning garments that cover the face.

The only time you can cover your face is during obvious conditions like cold weather.

First time offenders will receive a 1,000 kroner (€134) fine and more if offenders continue to cover their face.

The Toronto Sun reports that anyone forcing a person to wear garments covering the face by using force or threats can be fined or face up to two years in prison.
