KUUJJUAQ, Que. — A man has been arrested in connection with the slaying of a northern Quebec health worker earlier this week.
Provincial police said they had a local man in custody Wednesday in the death of Chloe Labrie, 28.
Labrie, originally from the central Quebec town of Victoriaville, was pronounced dead at the scene and authorities say her body bore marks of violence.
She was found in a Kuujjuaq residence overnight Tuesday after a call to Kativik Regional Police Force.
Provincial police major-crimes detectives are investigating the case and crime-scene technicians have been dispatched to gather evidence.
It wasn’t immediately clear when the suspect would appear in court.
