16 people died when a semi-truck collided with the Humboldt Broncos bus as the team made their way to a playoff game.

It took over 3 months to arrest the 29-year-old driver and lay charges for blowing through stop sign that caused the tragic accident.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu was arrested today in Calgary and faces 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and 13 counts of dangerous operation of motor vehicle causing bodily injury.

Sidhu is scheduled to appear in court next week in Saskatchewan.
