Several animated premieres are coming in Netflix. The platform enjoys the success of its recent “The Mitchells vs the Machines“and already announced the arrival of “Vivo”, a production and starring in Lin-Manuel Miranda. While this Thursday he presented the first preview of “Wish Dragon”.
The film follows the story of from, a college student who decides to reconnect with Lina, her childhood best friend, while discovering a dragon capable of granting her wishes. Their meeting will embark them on an adventure through Shanghai. “But what might seem like a simple wish will eventually become a complicated task because other people’s ambitions will also come into play,” the synopsis warns.
Co-produced by Sony Pictures Animation, a company that we remember, has already signed an agreement with Netflix so that its films from 2022 will land on its streaming platform once they have already been released in theaters. Although, as was also the case with “Vivo”, both animated films will reach the Red N catalog this year.
“Wish Dragon” was written and directed by Chris Appelhans (“Sparky”) and also has a production of the actor, stunt coordinator and acrobat, Jackie Chan next to Aron Warner, Chris Bremble.
With voices of John Cho (“Star Trek Beyond”) in the lead alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo (“The great showman”), Jimmy Wong (“Mulan”), Constance Wu (which is about to release “Solos” on Amazon Prime Video), Will Yun Lee (“Wolverine: inmortal”), Jimmy O. Yang | (“Crazy millionaires”), Aaron Yoo (“Disturbia”), Bobby Lee (“TigerBelly”) and Ronnie Chieng (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”); comes to Netflix on June 11, date on which the platform will receive the second season of “Lupine”.
