Metal Gear Solid movie director provides more details on the kind of action and stealth we’ll see

With the casting of Oscar Isaac as Solid Snake last December, the film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid that Sony Pictures continues to air for production. Now, Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the film’s director, has revealed some details in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The director spoke of his enthusiasm for the franchise created by Hideo Kojima and highlighted his interest in finding a way to adapt “the active experience of playing a game” a “the passive experience of watching a movie. “This need for adaptation was focused on action and stealth:

No release date or production start date has been announced for the Metal Gear Solid film. Vogt-Roberts doesn’t know whether he will direct the game adaptation or Netflix’s live-action film of Gundam first, although both are still in development.
