Pierce Brosnan talks about his favorites to be the new James Bond

The arrival of a new James Bond on the big screen is always a great event that is accompanied by expectation and doubts among fans of the character, and veteran actor Pierce Brosnan has offered his opinion on the matter.

Brosnan’s involvement dates back to between 1995 and 2002 with the tapes “GoldenEye”, “Tomorrow Never Dies”, “The World Is Not Enough” and “Die Another Day”, considered as true classics in the modern era of agent 007 and , reason enough for your opinion to have weight among fans of the franchise.

During a talk with People magazine, Pierce Brosnan says that sometimes it was annoying that they always asked him his opinion about who the next James Bond should be, however, this time he chose to point out who they would like to see in the role of Bond after the departure of Daniel Craig.

“Idris Elba comes to mind. He has a powerful presence and is a great performer with a tension in his voice. He could be magnificent. There is Tom Hardy too. Tom can really chew on furniture, he’s a tough guy. Both can, ”Brosnan said.

Pierce Brosnan believes that Daniel Craig’s large footprint in the franchise could be a brand for its producers to take in different directions. “But your choices are as good as mine, who will be the next Bond. There is no other franchise like it. None”.

It is not the first time that Tom Hardy has been singled out as one of the favorites to play James Bond, with various rumors at the end of 2020 indicating that he was already in talks about it. Similarly, Idris Elba has commented being aware of these rumors as a favorite to play agent 007, although he has acknowledged that it would be very difficult to carry the burden of being the first actor of color to play him.

After a lot of delays due to the pandemic, “No Time To Die” will finally hit theaters next September. The film has Cary Fukunaga as director and will be Daniel Craig’s farewell in the franchise.
