No matter how many cosmetic touch-ups 64-year-old Mickey Rourke gets, it’s hard not to be surprised. The actor has returned to resort to cosmetic surgery and treatments to achieve a new look. It was at the premiere of The Infiltrator in New York when she has shown her last change to which she has added a wig this time.

Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger rose to glory in 1986 with Nine weeks and a half, possibly the most watched Hollywood erotic film during that decade in which the stars became true sexual myths. 30 years have passed since that famous scene in which Basinger undressed to the rhythm of You Can Leave Your Hat On by Joe Cocker. Gone is the triumph and fame of rebellious boy that Rourke forged in the eighties.

The actor nominated for an Oscar for The fighter he became a professional boxer and the marks of the fights began to show on his face. In these fights he suffered two nasal fractures and one cheekbone, which led him to undergo surgery. Her nose was operated on five times, including in one of the interventions, cartilage was removed from one ear to rebuild her nose. That was the beginning of his obsession with cosmetic surgeries which includes lifting facial, eyelid operation and also hair grafting.

His life has also been a seesaw. Rourke was locked into a spiral of alcohol after his last divorce and lived poorly in an apartment in Los Angeles. He even had to sell his motorcycle collection to survive. The actor divorced his first wife, Debra Feuer, in 1981 and married his co-star in Wild Orchid, Carré Otis, in 1992, whose tumultuous relationship – Rourke was arrested by the police accused of sexist violence – ended in 1998.
