Four Vietnamese in the 2020 World Billionaire Rankings

In the ranking of the world’s billionaires in 2020 established by the prestigious American business magazine Forbes, include four Vietnamese: the president of Vingroup Pham Nhât Vuong, the CEO of the airline VietJet Air Nguyên Thi Phuong Thao, the president of the automobile company Truong Hai (Thaco) Trân Ba Duong, and the chairman of the Board of Techcombank Ho Hung Anh.

Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, PDG de la compagnie aérienne VietJet Air, se classe 1,001e with a fortune valued at $ 2.1 billion.

With a fortune valued at $ 1.5 billion, the chairman of the automobile company Truong Hai (Thaco) Trân Ba Duong ranks at 1.415e.

Techcombank Ho Hung Anh Board Chairman ranks 1.990e with an estimated fortune of one billion dollars.

Group chairman Masan Nguyên Dang Quang, who entered the Forbes 2019 billionaire list, did not appear in this year’s ranking.

E-commerce giant Amazon founder Jeff Bezos retains first place in this year’s ranking for the third year in a row with a net worth of $ 113 billion, down $ 18 billion from last year. Second place goes to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates with $ 98 billion, followed by luxury goods mogul Bernard Arnault with $ 76 billion, and investor Warren Buffet with $ 67.5 billion.

The 34e ranking of Forbes consists of 2,059 billionaires, 58 fewer than last year. They hold a fortune of $ 8 trillion, down $ 700 billion from the previous year.

In addition, the American magazine Forbes also named six young Vietnamese in the “30 Under 30 Asia” 2020 list, which lists thirty prominent personalities under the age of 30, who have shone in sectors as diverse as commerce, finance, business administration, communication, e-commerce, education, scientific research, the arts, music, leisure, sport, fashion or the media.
