Galtier still hesitates between OL and OGC Nice

Christophe galtier officially left the LOSC. Sacred champion of France, the French technician is looking for a new project. And his choice was to be made between OGC Nice and OL, by the end of the week. But first, he is very undecided.

LOSC: Galtier, “OL remain a great Ligue 1 club”

After four and a half seasons at LOSC, Christophe Galtier is leaving. He formalized his departure on Tuesday. In the process, the neo-champion of Ligue 1 confirmed his mutual interest in three clubs: Olympique Lyonnais, OGC Nice and SSC Naples. “Yes, I have a reflection on these three clubs. I didn’t sign with anyone and didn’t get along with anyone. […] When am I going to make up my mind? Before the end of the week I think ”, indicated the ex-coach of Lille OSC. Christophe Galtier must make his choice between the Rhone club of Jean-Michel Aulas and Le Gym, by British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe.

In addition to the affinities he has within the two Ligue 1 clubs, the 54-year-old coach is sensitive to the Gones and Aiglons project. “OL are one of the big clubs in the championship. Being solicited by Lyon is very rewarding. The fact that he is not in the Champions League does not appeal to me more than that. […] I have respect for the commitment. Lyon remains one of the big clubs in the Championship, I am convinced of it. I worked for a year with Jean-Michel Aulas when I was Alain Perrin’s assistant (2007-2008). We appreciate each other a lot, ”he commented.

Galtier won over by the results of the Ineos group

The new Nice project with the Ineos group does not leave Christophe Galtier indifferent. “Everyone knows the relationship I have with Julien Fournier, whom I have known for a very long time. He is in a project in Nice, with INEOS, which is colossal. Everywhere INEOS goes, they win. […] Obviously we look at what the INEOS group is, because it commands respect. I spoke with Julien about the INEOS project long before anything we’ve heard lately. Afterwards, if I go to OGC Nice, I understand that it may surprise people, ”said the native Marseille coach. Note that the Riviera club is not qualified for the European Cup, unlike Lyon which will play the Europa League next season.
