The Xiaomi Mi 10 would be the first smartphone on the market to include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. Lei Jun, co-founder and CEO of Xiaomi, has indeed just confirmed the presence of the high-end processor within the smartphone. In the process, the leader specifies that the launch of the flagship is imminent.
Remember: during the Snapdragon Tech Summit in November, Lin Bin, co-founder of Xiaomi, already said that the Xiaomi Mi 10 would be the first smartphone to take advantage of the SoC Snapdragon 865. In an interview relayed by our Chinese colleagues from My Drivers this January 22, Lei Jun agrees. According to the media, the smartphone “will launch the Snapdragon 865 ″ platform.

With the Mi 10, Xiaomi is ahead of Samsung and its Galaxy S20s
According to the latest news, the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 10 would take place on February 11, the same day as the conference dedicated to the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Z Flip. Xiaomi’s conference would take place a few hours before that of its rival Samsung. Under these conditions, the Xiaomi Mi 10 would be the first smartphone in the world to embed the Snapdragon 865. Lei Jun also assures that the launch of the terminal is imminent, thus confirming the latest rumors half-heartedly.
The Mi 10 could also establish itself as the first smartphone on the market to be equipped with the SoC. Typically, Xiaomi releases its phones within days of their presentation. We can therefore expect that the Mi 10 will be available in some markets, including China, from the middle of February 2020. For its part, Samsung should not market the Galaxy S20 before the middle of March. The Chinese manufacturer is therefore on track to get ahead of the smartphone leader.
Moreover, the Xiaomi 10 would be 5G compatible, enhanced with a 90 Hz screen, equipped with 12 GB of RAM and powered by a 4500 mAh battery with 48 W fast charging. As a reminder, Xiaomi is also preparing a Pro version of the smartphone with 65W fast charge. We’ll tell you more as soon as possible.
