Over the past hundred years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has experienced vicissitudes and withstood hardships, but its commitment to the country’s independence, its social progress and the happiness of its people has never changed, has estimated Ivica Dacic, president of the Serbian National Assembly, in a recent interview with Xinhua.
The one who is also chairman of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), a member of the ruling coalition in that country, believes that the CPC has made this progress exemplary for the whole world and that its leaders have united the country to defeat the new coronavirus and eradicate absolute poverty.

While he was First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Dacic visited China at the end of February 2020 when the epidemic had just broken out there. With China’s efforts to combat this scourge, Serbia stands firmly by its side, as it considers it one of its closest friends, he said.
Recalling this visit, which Dacic says allowed him to witness Chinese efforts to fight the virus, the president of the Serbian National Assembly believes that China has made immense efforts to overcome this epidemic and achieved excellent results in a very short time.
In addition to protecting its own population, China has also helped other countries fight the novel coronavirus, notes Ivica Dacic, expressing her gratitude for her support in Belgrade during the pandemic.
In his view, China has also won the battle against absolute poverty under the leadership of the CCP, because it has “succeeded in mobilizing all its intellectual and material resources to solve this problem.”
Referring to the achievements of the CCP, Mr. Dacic said he was sure that in the years to come, the party would continue to lead China to lasting prosperity and seek happiness for the people.
