Logitech introduces professional video conferencing hardware (with prices up to 3,999 euros) – News

With the RoomMate and a large and smaller Rally Bar, Logitech has three new professional solutions for video conferencing. All devices work together with software such as Teams and Zoom, and do not even need a computer for this.

The Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini are designed for medium and smaller meeting rooms respectively. With their wide, elongated design, the devices look more like a soundbar than a web camera. There’s also a lot of audio technology inside, such as ultra-low distortion speakers for room-filling sound with an anti-vibration system that minimizes vibrations. Single smart microphones pick up the voices of every person present and focus on clarity by bringing the active speaker to the foreground. Unwanted background noise is automatically filtered out.

With or without computer

The two Rally Bars contain two cameras and offer image quality up to 4K (ultra high definition). The largest model is capable of 5x optical zoom without loss of quality, which can be digitally boosted to 15x zoom. The devices come with built-in support for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android and the Zoom Room app, with Zoom available immediately. The systems can also be connected to a computer via USB, for a choice of other tools such as GoTo, Pexip and RingCentral.

Both devices are available in Graphite and White colours. The target price of the Rally Bar is 3,999 euros, the Rally Bar Mini changes owner for 2,999.

Wireless Microphones

In addition, Logitech also presented the RoomMate, a modular video conferencing solution that consists of a separate camera, two speakers, wireless microphones for the table(s) and a central hub for all connections. Prices of this system, which can be extended to meetings with 46 participants, start at 999 euros.

At the time of writing, only the Logitech Rally Bar is available. The Rally Bar Mini and Logitech RoomMate will follow at a later date.
