Simultaneously with its new smartphones OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, the Chinese tech company of the same name introduces its first smart timepiece this week, the OnePlus Watch.

In addition to the Classic Edition, in black or silver, there will also be a Watch Cobalt Limited Edition. With that clock, the watch case is made of a cobalt alloy that, according to OnePlus, is twice as hard and rust-resistant as traditional stainless steel. The dial of this model is then covered by sapphire crystal, for more clarity and scratch resistance.

OnePlus made its first smartwatch water and dust resistant according to the IP68 rating and put more than 110 workout types in it, including automatic detection for jogging and running. The watch also provides insight into data such as heart rate, distance, calorie consumption, speed and – for swimming enthusiasts – SWOLF efficiency. The gadget also measures your stress level and the oxygen in your blood, it offers breathing training and gives warnings in the event of a (too) fast heartbeat.

The OnePlus Watch comes with a 402mAh battery that fully charges in 53 minutes, after which it lasts for two weeks with economical use. According to the manufacturer, active users can use the battery for a week. The Watch also has a storage capacity of 4 GB, which should be enough for about five hundred songs, and is compatible with most Bluetooth earphones.

Prices start at 159 euros.
