Zoom introduces 27-inch touchscreen for virtual meetings – News

Zoom, the company behind the video calling service of the same name, has presented a new communication device for the home office. It is an all-in-one device with a 27-inch touchscreen for easier virtual meetings from home.

The Zoom for Home – DTEN ME, as the device is called, will be on the American market in August, and probably already in the Benelux a month later. The target price is 599 dollars or about 525 euros, not including VAT.

Plug & play

According to manufacturer DTEN, this is a plug & play solution that allows video calls to be made in no time at all. In order to manage the image and sound quality, the device contains three wide-angle cameras of 160° and no less than eight microphones. Integrated speakers are also not missing.

In addition, the device has a 16:9 Full HD touchscreen that can also serve as a whiteboard during meetings: at the bottom of the screen there are various annotation tools to clarify a graph, for example. There is also an agenda that lists all upcoming meetings at a glance. For the internet connection, the user can choose between WiFi and an Ethernet connection.
