‘Gunpowder Milkshake (Explosive Cocktail)’
Karen Gillan, Lena Headey and Chloe Coleman are the stars of Gunpowder Milkshake (Explosive Cocktail), the action ‘thriller’ directed by Navot Papushado. The story introduces us to Sam, a young woman who was abandoned by her mother, Scarlet, at only 12 years old, to continue her work as a hitman. Since that time, her education has been in the hands of La Firma, the criminal organization for which Scarlet worked. Years later, Sam has followed in her mother’s footsteps and has become a murderer, who spends her days “closing” pending issues from The Firm. Sam finds himself between a rock and a hard place, when he must choose between saving little Emily’s life or reuniting with her mother and her partners, The Librarians, to face The Firm once and for all to win her freedom.
‘Worth’ or how to discover the difference between value and price with the victims of 9/11
Worth is the title of another feature film that will be featured on the Spanish billboard this weekend, a drama that deals with the management of funds destined for the victims of the 9/11 attacks, just when it is 20 years since the terrible tragedy. With a luxurious cast led by Michael Keaton, Stanley Tucci and Amy Ryan, and directed by Sara Colangelo, the film is based on the book ‘What is Life Worth ?: The Unprecedented Effort to Compensate the Victims of 9/11’, written by American attorney Kenneth Feinberg. This lawyer, played by Keaton, was selected by the 9/11 foundation to try to influence the management of the money destined for the victims of 9/11, and put an end to the endless bureaucratic procedures that many families had to go through to get to receive part of those funds.
‘Who are you traveling with’
Martín Cuervo is the director of Who are you traveling with, the Spanish comedy that you will be able to see in theaters starting this weekend. Starring Ana Polvorosa, Salva Reina, Andrea Duro and Pol Monen, this ‘road movie’ follows four very peculiar characters, with nothing in common, who meet during a trip in Bla Bla Car. During the journey, each of them tells what are their aspirations in life, what frustrates them in their day to day and other confessions that lead them to connect better than they thought.
This weekend, the national billboard also welcomes French comedies Goodbye idiots and Who is who ?; to the anime, Josee, the tiger and the fish, and the dramas: Blue Bayou, Fauna, Pearl, A step away from me and My secret functions.
