Don’t worry if you arrived too late, we will always keep you informed when a new restocking appears.
Why are Xbox Series X hard to find?
Unveiled in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the disease and the shortage are unfortunately still relevant. Since November 10, 2020, Microsoft’s latest console has been running out of stock and does not seem to want to invite itself into gamers’ living rooms.
There are two main reasons for this more than annoying situation. The first is mentioned above: the species of virus that slightly disrupts world trade. And even if it tended to dissipate in recent months, the impact it has had continues to affect availability.
The second concerns the shortages of electronic components throughout the world. This applies to many products and the console of the American giant is not spared. It is full of different metals and other materials that are subject to shortages and analysts do not seem to see the end of it.
Unlike Sony’s console, Microsoft has decided to satisfy everyone by marketing a model for each type of use. It is a novelty in the history of Xbox, with a variation in two distinct versions.
The first is the Series S, which sports a pristine white with a big black circle on the side. The interest is to offer a lower cost option for those who do not have 499 € to spend, but still be able to enjoy a next-gen experience. There are of course limitations, with a maximum resolution of 1440p. It also comes with just 512GB of storage.
The other model is the one that interests us here, the Series X. With its generous build and its all-black design, we immediately understand that we are dealing with the premium version. You will be able to go up to 4K at 120 FPS in games for a fluidity and sharpness never seen on a console before. With 1 TB of internal storage, we have enough to stack the games in our virtual library.
As you can imagine, the Series S, sold at €299 and cheaper than the Series X, is available at any time at its normal price. It’s less powerful and less attractive, but it’s more than enough coffee when it comes to running all possible games in a very satisfying way.
The Series X still has undeniable advantages, and it will satisfy those who want the best. The sale price is 499€, the same as from the beginning. As often with these products that aim to last for many years, their value tends to stay in place for quite a while.
However, if you see higher prices, this is a phenomenon called scalping. Even if it is much more present in the PS5 trade, it is also found for the Series X. The principle is to target a product with high demand and regularly falling out of stock. The perpetrators of this “mischief”, the scalpers, rush to the consoles when they show up, and happily resell them at a higher price.
To have a Series X at a reasonable price, you will have to be patient and stay on the lookout. It is essential to create an account on each of the main resale sites which offer new stock often.

you hesitate to take an Xbox series? The gamepass should convince you
This is probably one of the main reasons why you want to get an Xbox Series X, and we understand you. If this is not the case and you are not too aware, know that Microsoft offers an excellent solution so that you do not have to pay for all your games individually: the Game Pass.
It’s a catalog of PC games, next-gen or from previous consoles, all of which are accessible via a regular payment each month. For €9.99 you can choose between PC or console titles, and €3 more will give you access to all games as well as Cloud gaming to play with (almost) any device.
Sony is currently counter-attacking by trying to develop their own monthly subscription system with a new catalog. PlayStation Plus merges with PlayStation Now to offer three levels: Essential, Extra and Premium, the last two offering hundreds of games available unlimited.
For now, Game Pass remains the best option for discovering tons of games, and we hope you can enjoy them soon on your Series X.
