Game News CoD Warzone | Vanguard: Ricochet anti-cheat now heavily handicaps cheaters
Faced with inveterate cheaters, Activision wants to rebalance the scales and Ricochet is not there to do in the lace. Determined to help players fight this scourge from the inside, the American publisher has offered a new improvement to its new weapon to fight cheaters, namely its famous anti-cheat system. Two months after deploying an unprecedented penalty against those who do not respect the rules, Activision has decided to impress them. Literally.
- No stray bullets with Ricochet
- Bad soldiers will be blinded
No stray bullets with Ricochet
For Activision-Blizzard, the eternal fight against cheaters has lasted too long, and it was time to move up a gear even higher by boosting its anti-cheat system. Despite everything, the latest news, Ricochet was doing like a charm, confirming Activision in its desire to continue this kind of action, and even to intensify them. Following a small review of the first months of its anti-cheating system, Activision had deployed, within the last productions of the license, a new strategy aimed at making cheaters unable to inflict critical damage.
A blow for those who bend the rules and try to take advantage in a way that is anything but legal. By thus covering the model players with an invincibility coating, the cheaters thus had more difficulty in obtaining the victory to which they aspired so much. But even if some shoot themselves in the foot, Activision has not said its last word, as evidenced by the new feature that will make life hard for cheaters!
Bad soldiers will be blinded
In a recent blog post, Activision proudly announced that a new evolution of Ricochet would put a spoke in the wheels of cheaters. So far, 90,000 accounts have been deleted and Ricochet has identified and banned 54,000 more, as specified by the American publisher who wants to work twice as hard in Warzone and Vanguard. It is in particular in this dynamic and with the objective of offering a head start to players who follow the rules that Activision has introduced a new method.
So, if one of the players cheats in any way, Ricochet will apply a sort of veil that will prevent the cheater from seeing other players during the match, rendering them blind. An additional advantage for players who have nothing to reproach themselves for, it is possible for them to visualize the cheaters affected by this concealment – which, by the way, makes sounds imperceptible and enemy shots undetectable – and thus regain the advantage!
