Despite being an essential piece of the Internet, Chrome is also subject to security issues. Google bets on its quick resolution and the launch of new versions for users with the present solution.
That’s precisely what happened now, with yet another security solution being applied. Altogether there are 14 security flaws, with one of them very serious and can now disappear with the Chrome update, which everyone must do.
The year 2021 has not been an easy year for Google and Chrome. This browser has been under fire when it comes to security situations, which the research giant has been trying to resolve quickly and very firmly.
This time Google focused on one of the most problematic flaws out of a long list of problems present. This was being actively exploited, which jeopardized the protection and safety of users. Interestingly, it was also present in Windows, having been resolved this week.
Chrome in-the-wild vulnerability CVE-2021-30551 patched today was also from the same actor and targeting.
Thanks to Chrome team for also patching within 7 days.https://t.co/1RDbbuiBfY https://t.co/Ap9dEq98Cy

In addition to this one, marked CVE-2021-30551, there are 5 more that have been treated this year. All were marked as being very serious and in need of immediate correction by Google:
- CVE-2021-21148 – February 4, 2021
- CVE-2021-21166 – March 2, 2021
- CVE-2021-21193 – March 12, 2021
- CVE-2021-21220 - April 13, 2021
- CVE-2021-21224 - April 20, 2021
As before, updates are incorporated into new versions of Chrome, which are quickly sent to browser users.
Featured in Google's well-known Project Zero, this Chrome flaw will still take a few days to be fully known. Google wants to maximize the number of users updated in order to increase security and protection for everyone.
The new update, 91.0.4472.101, is already being released for Chrome users. Google wants everyone to have this version installed and thus protect themselves from problems that are present in this browser.
