It is the village of 1,371 inhabitants, Sancerre, which was sacred this Wednesday, June 30. Among the 14 competing, it is therefore the charm of the Center-Val de Loire that prevailed. The winner of the 2021 edition of the “Favorite French Village” is Sancerre in the Cher department in the Center-Val de Loire region. The lucky winner was announced on Wednesday June 30, 2021 by Stéphane Bern from the winning village of the show in 2020, Hunspach, located in the Bas-Rhin department.

Voting was open from Thursday March 4 at 10 a.m. until Thursday March 25 at 6 p.m., the date of the election for the “Favorite French Village”. Viewers could vote for their favorite village among the 14 competing, by phone at 3245 or on the France Télévisions website. The vote was made public during the 10th edition of the program presented by Stéphane Bern on France 3, on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at 9:05 p.m.
