Thanks to the success of Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings – 95%, Sony decided to advance the premiere of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, so we will have the opportunity to enjoy the film on the big screen as it should and very soon. Apparently the sequel to Venom – 35% still will not have any relationship with Spider-Man, but the director promises that that long-awaited crossover will happen.

Andy Serkis is primarily known for his roles as an actor in motion capture in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers – 96%, Planet of the Apes: War – 93% and Star Wars: The Last Jedi – 91%, but as a director he has been in charge of two feature films, Una Razón Para Vivir – 67% and Mowgli: Tales from the Jungle Book – 48%. Later he was in charge of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, film that hits theaters this October 7.

In a chat with IGN On Instagram, Serkis was questioned about whether we will see Tom Hardy’s Venom crossover (The Last Fight – 83%, Mad Max: Fury Road – 97%, Capone – 40%) with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man (Spider-Man: Far From Home – 82%, Avengers: Infinity War – 79%, The Impossible – 81%), and if so, when will it happen? This was the filmmaker’s response (via The Direct):

Look, that’s the question on everyone’s lips. They want to know if Venom will meet Spider-Man, but personally, it will never happen. I’m just kidding, of course it’s going to happen… But, I think there’s so much… Look, it depends on when you want to arrive and also on your appetite. If people want more Venom stories, then jumping straight into Spider-Man could mean missing out on so many great supervillain characters from now on. So in a way, if you’re rushing to get there, you may be closing doors.

Truth is, most fans aren’t as excited about seeing more solo supervillain movies as they are seeing Spider-Man take on Venom.

Superhero cinema has produced great works in the last two decades, and although Venom It is not among them, we cannot deny that it was a great commercial success. The character has enjoyed enormous popularity since his appearance in comics and later in animated series. For now we do not know if Venom: Let There Be Carnage It will be as successful as the first installment, but chances are good that it will, as Carnage is a villain that fans have long wanted to see.

As for Spider-Man, rumors are already well known that we will have the most anticipated crossover in superhero cinema: the return of Tobey Maguire (The Master Play – 72%, The Great Gatsby – 48%, Crazy Weekend – 25%) and Andrew Garfield (To the Last Man – 86%, Red Social – 96%, The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Electro’s Menace – 52%) to his Spider-Man roles. This would be possible thanks to the multiverse, which as we already saw in the Loki series – 96% is a reality for the Marvel Studios franchise. The first time we have been given stories set in the multiverse is with the animated series What If …? – 84% but Spider-Man: No Road Home will have a lot to show us yet.

The multiverse will also have to explain why Vulture appears, played by Michael Keaton (Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) – 91%, Beetlejuice, the super ghost – 81%, Hunger for Power – 83%), in the Morbius trailer, a film set in the same universe as Venom. When this is clear, it will already be an irrefutable fact that Spider-Man’s encounter with Venom will take place. For now the only thing that is already a fact is that Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2 – 93%, Frida – 76%, Beautiful Revenge – 90%) appears in Spider-Man: No Way Home, along with Willem Dafoe (The Last Temptation of Christ – 82%, Born on July 4 – 90%, Antichrist – 70%) as the Green Goblin. The first appears at the end of the trailer and the second we hear his unmistakable voice as a grenade of the kind used by the villain in Spider-Man rolls on the ground – 89%.
