An important step forward for the examination launched by the Tuscany Region for the role of technical director of a travel agency. The Ministry of Tourism has in fact initiated the formal path for the adoption of the ministerial decree which defines the profile and requirements for access to this professional qualification: a fulfillment required by state law (the so-called Tourism Code of 2011), but never achieved so far. The date of the confrontation between the Ministry and the Regions on the draft decree is already on the calendar, next 14 July.
It therefore appears appropriate – in compliance with the division of competences between the State and the Region but, above all, in the interest of candidates to obtain a qualification that has national significance – to wait for the adoption of this decree, to consequently adapt the content and implementation of the examination which, presumably, will involve a reformulation of the matters envisaged in the Notice.
«The start of the national procedure – comments the councilor for tourism Leonardo marras – it was a necessary and long-awaited step, even in Tuscany. With a regulation that is finally complete, the validity of the title of technical director that can be achieved will be full. We will continue to work – he concludes – to be ready to start operationally with the examination as soon as the approval process of the ministerial decree is completed ».
When the act is adopted, the region will immediately make the necessary adjustments, giving notice on its institutional channels. Then we will proceed with any requests to the candidates to supplement the admission application submitted at the time and with the setting of the date of the exam.
