Dio’s birthday will be celebrated with a virtual event and great guests

On July 10, a new anniversary of the birth of Ronnie James Dio is commemorated and a virtual event is being prepared that will raise funds for the foundation that bears the name of the singer, Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund, and is dedicated to the fight against cancer.

The entity will join forces with virtual event producers Rolling Live Studios to celebrate Ronnie’s birthday on Saturday, July 10. The global livestream fundraising event will bring together celebrities and fans from around the world to honor Dio’s undeniable impact both on and off stage. Ronnie, frontman of Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath and DIO, lost his battle with gastric cancer in 2010.

Featured on rollinglivestudios.com starting at 2 PM PDT, this star-studded event, hosted by Eddie Trunk and Matt Pinfield, will feature special guest performances, interviews and birthday greetings from artists like Tony Iommi. Also featuring Dio’s band members: Simon Wright, Oni Logan, Scott Warren, Bjorn Englen and Rowan Robertson, who will also appear with co-star Paul Shortino (Rough Cutt) from the Las Vegas production “Raiding the Rock Vault.” . Radio and television personalities Eddie Trunk and Matt Pinfield will be on hand during the broadcast conducting interviews with the artists, as well as DIO producer Wyn Davis and Ronnie’s longtime widow and manager Wendy Dio.

The live broadcast of Stand Up And Shout For Ronnie James Dio’s Birthday will feature new performances and tales from Ronnie’s friends and fans, as well as exclusive archival footage of Dio’s life and long career, and never-before-seen footage of the Dio Cancer Fund events held in Los Angeles since 2011, when the organization began. Through musical performances and storytelling, a wide range of guests will celebrate the life of a man who profoundly influenced their lives through his art and his larger than life presence.

Throughout his career, Ronnie James Dio was a passionate advocate and supporter of charities and numerous animal charities. He was an artist who was not only highly respected for his talent, but also admired and loved by his peers and fans around the world, some of whom included renowned celebrities, musicians, and prominent individuals from all walks of life.

Tickets are sold on rollinglivestudios.com with $ 20 general admission tickets ($ 15 early general admission tickets are available through June 16). In addition to tickets to see the show, Rolling Live Studios will offer special merchandising packages and VIP virtual experiences for fans to participate in this rare global event. Stand Up And Shout For Ronnie James Dio’s Birthday is the latest in a series of stellar events produced by Rolling Live Studios. In January, the studio collaborated with Mike Garson to assemble an extraordinary cast of vocalists who performed with former students of David Bowie’s band for “A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day,” a streaming concert.
