British singer Rod Stewart faces to one charge of assault for an alleged assault, in which his son Sean also participated, one of his eight children that he had with his first wife Alana Stewart. Apparently, the altercation occurred when the doorman of the luxury hotel Breakers Palm Beach (Florida) prevented them from entering the establishment during last New Year’s Eve. Specifically, and according to the police report, the event took place at 11:00 p.m. on December 31.
Jessie Dixon, 33, says Sean, 39, confronted him and he pushed him back, to which the singer’s son allegedly responded by pushing him. Immediately afterwards, the 74-year-old rocker, and always according to the complainant’s testimony, approached him and punched him in the chest. The images of the security cameras of the hotel establishment show that father and son were “the main aggressors,” according to the complaint. Although the singer-songwriter of classics like Talk about it, Sailing, Maggie May O Sexy apologized for what happened, stressed that the goalkeeper was belligerent when they tried to enter the club, prompting his son to react. For his part, Sean assures that the culprit of the fight was the goalkeeper with his aggressive attitude and that all he did was “defend” his family.

So, Rod Stewart and his son will have to go to the Palm Beach court on February 5, where they will be formally charged with “simple battery” by District Judge Ted Booras. If convicted at the hearing, father and son could face a year in jail, probation or a fine of nearly 1,000 euros.
It is not the spring time that the son of the star of the rock gets involved in such an altercation. In September 2002, he was sentenced to 90 days in prison and to go to a drug rehabilitation center after refusing to testify on the charge of assaulting a man in a Malibu restaurant. In 2010 he was arrested for driving with an expired license and in February 2015 he was also arrested at the Miami airport for jumping onto the luggage conveyor belt, according to reports Daily Mail Y Local 10. Sir Rod Stewart also had problems with the Police in the past. In the 1960s he was arrested three times while participating in protests in London supporting nuclear disarmament.
