Jack Savoretti and Ed Sheeran top UK sales charts


Jack Savoretti lands his new No. 1 on the UK chart with the album ‘Europiana‘, which debuts with 21,000 equivalent units, of which 82% belongs to physical sales in CD and vinyl format. It is the second # 1 for Savoretti after the album ‘Singing To Strangers’ 2019.

For its part, the previous number 1 (‘Sour‘by Olivia Rodrigo) drops to second place this week, but it is still the most played album in the UK. The top 3 closes the new album of Doja Cat, ‘Planet Her‘, which becomes the best position of the artist in the United Kingdom.

The top 10 also includes new album releases from Tyler The Creator (‘Call Me If You Get Lost‘) y John Grant (‘Boy From Michigan‘).

Ed Sheeran triumphantly returns to the UK’s Official Singles Chart with his new single ‘Bad Habits’, which debuts at No. 1 with 92,000 equivalent units, including 8.7 million streams.

Sheeran becomes the ninth artist in the history of the official British charts to achieve at least ten number 1s. Ed thus joins Calvin Harris and Eminem, while just ahead of them are Take That (12), Madonna ( 13), Cliff Richard and Westlife (14) and The Beatles (17) and Elvis (21).

In addition, the Italian group Moonlight continues to triumph in the United Kingdom after its recent triumph at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. Thus, the theme ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ rises from # 6 to # 5 this week, while his version of ‘Beggin‘goes up three places and is placed at # 7.
