NBA Releases Short Film “NBA Lane” Featuring Michael B. Jordan and Over 30 Players and Legends Commemorating the 75th Season of the League | Argentina

NEW YORK, October 4, 2021 – The NBA today announced the world premiere of “NBA Lane,” a short film celebrating the league’s history leading up to the 75th anniversary season, which will air on all @NBA social platforms and at starting Thursday, October 7 at 12 pm EDT as part of the “NBA 75” flagship campaign. The film stars actor / producer Michael B. Jordan and more than 30 NBA players and legends who come together to tell the story of the past 75 years through a humorous and humorous perspective.

Set in a fictional neighborhood where current NBA stars and legends reside, “NBA Lane” takes fans on a journey with the personalities – past, present and future – who have written the history of the game. In the three-minute film, Jordan acts as the neighborhood’s “Hoop Bus” driver and takes a group of kids on a tour of the NBA neighborhood that is home to 75 years of basketball culture. As the bus travels through the streets of the community, riders encounter these prolific figures in everyday settings. Ever since former rivals Magic Johnson and Larry Bird became friendly neighbors; LeBron James tending his garden; Kareem Abdul-Jabbar teaching Dirk Nowitzki the art of the hook shot; to Zion Williamson breaking a board on the street court, it’s just another day in the neighborhood. The material honors both the NBA legends who have laid the foundation for the league and the current players who are shaping its future.

“‘NBA Lane’ was created as a way to honor both the history and the future of the NBA”said NBA marketing director Kate Jhaveri. “We are thrilled to bring together some of the best players and legends in the league to celebrate not only the NBA’s 75th anniversary season, but also the connection fans have built with our game.”.

“As someone who has been a member of the NBA Family for the past 65 years, I can truly say, as I do on ‘NBA Lane’, ‘This game just keeps getting better'”said NBA legend Bill Russell. “To be a part of this film, alongside so many greats who represent nearly eight decades of league history, is a great emotion and a great honor.”.
